Professor Julie McMullen

Our keynote public lecture, the Princesses’ Lecture, named in honour of Diana, Princess of Wales and Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, will be given by Professor Julie McMullen, Deputy Director of the Heart Research Institute. Prof McMullen is internationally renowned for her research defining molecular pathways for physiological and pathological heart enlargement and for her expertise in preclinical models of exercise, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and cardiotoxicity in males and females.

The Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium Lecture will be given by Associate Professor Nitesh Nerlekar, Deputy Director (Clinical Research) at the Victorian Heart Institute, Monash University. A/Prof Nerlekar is an accomplished academic cardiologist and imaging specialist with expertise in coronary heart disease, and novel methods for cardiovascular risk prediction in women.
