The Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium is Australia’s premier cardiovascular research event. This year's theme is ‘From molecules to therapies for cardiovascular disease’ exploring ideas on Obesity, Fibrosis, and Inflammation.

The Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium, now in its seventh year, hosted by the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, Heart Research Institute, Westmead Institute of Medical Research and The George Institute for Global Health

The Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium is free to attend and attracts the best and brightest of NSW researchers, interstate and international talent.

Our vision is to make the world’s best cardiovascular expertise accessible to all NSW researchers and facilitate statewide collaboration to translate this expertise into clinical practice and establish NSW as the preeminent Australian leader in cardiovascular research.

Dates: Thursday & Friday, 31 October - 1 November, 2024

Venue: Garvan Auditorium, Garvan Institute of Medical Research, 384 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst.

Who: 250+ local, interstate and international researchers and clinicians

Travel support is available to attend the Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium, courtesy of the NSW Cardiovascular Research Network, for early to mid-career researchers located in NSW but outside of the Sydney-Metropolitan region. Apply here.
