Early and Mid-Career Researchers
In 2019 the Sydney Cardiovascular Symposium will incorporate EMCR focussed events for cardiovascular clinicians and scientists in NSW, and beyond, recognising the excellence of our younger researchers. This is also a means to foster collaboration and interdisciplinary research across the state.
This year’s Symposium will include an entire day dedicated to EMCRs (Wednesday 27th November), which will include a number of plenary talks from young leaders in their fields from across the country, with the opportunity for a large number of selected talks from abstracts, judged by our invited speakers. Incorporated into this day, we will also be hosting a series of tours and workshops of the various facilities within Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute Innovation Centre, aimed at encouraging collaborations across the state.
The main Symposium will include numerous invited national and international plenary speakers. We will have sessions devoted to basic science and clinical/public health research, moderated lightning talks from selected abstracts and two dedicated networking poster sessions judged by our international and national invited speakers.
